Profile Gear Grinding Software

Gear grinding machines are classified into generating type and profile grinding type. The generating type machine produces gears like gear hobbing machine with screw type grinding wheel which is very similar to gear hob tool. The profiling type machines make gear with the grinding wheel, and the dressed end shape is identical to the shape of gear tooth.

The generating type gear grinding machine is fast and it used for middle class gear mass production. The profiling type gear grinding machine is slower but precise and it used for high class gear small lot production. The profile gear grinding machines grind gear teeth one after one with the dressed grinding wheel according to the gear specification.
